(updated regularly) - updated April 2022 -

- RESPECT YOUR FELLOW RIDERS. RESPECT YOURSELF.
ERR ON THE SIDE OF CAUTION. STAY SAFE, STAY HEALTHY. -

General:

Toronto Cruisers takes your safety and well-being seriously.  Since the pandemic began, we've been innovating, adhering to best practices & working towards keeping increased safety for one & all, so thank you for your support & input!

Your input helps shape our policy, so please continue to share with us.

Key Pandemic Rules:

  • If you're not feeling wellstay home.
Practice an abundance of caution & respect for other riders.

  • Masks are encouraged, but not a requirement for those that are fully vaccinated.
If you are not fully vaccinated, you are expected to wear a mask. If you don't have a mask or would like one, ride leads can help you out, just ask.

  • Practice good hygiene & sanitization.
Bring & use hand sanitizer, practice caution if sharing food or drinks, give people space.

  • Practice proper social distancing as required. Individuals may have different comfort levels regarding distancing, so feel free to ask & express your comfort levels. In all cases, assume positive intent & respect the wishes of other riders.

  • Respect yourself, respect your fellow riders, their circumstances & their loves ones. Respect the neighborhoods we ride through & those that call those neighborhoods home.

Other Ride Changes & Tips:

  • Due to feedback, we'll be back to utilizing public transit this season. Please bring TTC fare & be prepared to wear a mask when on public transit or adhere to other transit rules.

  • If weather is iffy, we'll err on the side of caution & try to make the call the day prior. With pandemic planning, everything takes a bit more preparation, so we'll do our best to provide as much lead time as possible.

  • Staying home is okay. Just because there will be rides this year with social distancing & other preventative measures in full effect, if your personal circumstances dictate that you reduce exposure risk & can avoid coming out, don't come out. We encourage & support you to do the right thing for yourself. Health & safety protocols change, we'll update rules accordingly, but remember, you're responsible for yourself, your health & your safety - do the right thing for your personal circumstances.

  • Take the space that's required for appropriate social distancing

  • Rides may be shorter than usual. This will be more closely aligned with weather, but will also consider the ability  of people to ride home for those that may choose to avoid alternate transit methods home due to health & safety concerns.

  • Respect all relevant by-laws and emergency declarations. There may be a number of rules regarding park usage, park amenity usage and social distancing. These may be subject to change so it helps to be familiar with current regulations. We'll adapt to meet these regulations.

  • Don't put other riders at risk, self quarantine as recommended. If you have come into contact with anyone displaying symptoms of Covid-19, you should stay away or test prior to joining a ride. If you are experiencing known symptoms or aren't feeling well, please take appropriate measure.

  • Testing is encouraged if you're feeling unwell & unsure if you should attend.

  • Be familiar with and practice the rest of our rules at all times so we can continue to be welcome in our communities & good ambassadors for our unique brand of fun!
